'Sharktopus' producers launch the Monster Machine
Following on creature features "Sharktopus," "Dinoshark" and "Shark Swarm," the co-producers of individuals films have joined to create new production banner the Monster Machine. Founder Stephen Niver and Robert James Roessel of Mexico-based banner Arte Paneo Prods. will work with genre scribes Matthew Chernov and David Rosiak ("Shark Swarm") to build up and convey a slate of creature-designed projects for video, cable and VOD. "The truth that we'd a lot public curiosity about "Sharktopus," even throughout production, implies that there's certainly an untrained marketplace for fun monster movies about this scale," stated Niver. The Monster Machine promises "Arachnaconda," "Grizzligator," "Ocean Scorpions" and "Maneater Mountain," amongst others that'll be allocated between $a million and $3 million. Company intends to shoot some of the features around Cabo San Lucas, where "Sharktopus" and "Dinoshark" were shot economically, due simply to Roessel being the film commissioner in Jalisco, Mexico. The Monster Machine's first pic is going to be "Arachnaconda," which Lou Gemstone Phillips will topline and direct from the script by Niver.
