ATO Pictures nabs privileges to 'Oasis'

ATO Pictures has acquired U.S. privileges to Participant Media's docu ''Last Call in the Oasis,'' directed by Jessica Yu.The film lately opened in the Toronto Intl. Film Festival.Pic's developed, funded and executive created by Participant Media.''Oasis'' handles the worldwide water crisis becoming the central problem facing the world this century.The film was created by Elise Pearlstein featuring activist Erin Brockovich, Peter Gleick, Alex Prud'homme, Jay Famiglietti and Robert Glennon.The offer was discussed by ATO's Mind of Purchases Sarah Lash with Josh Braun of Submarine and Shaun Ivers, COO of Participant Media.ATO also acquired privileges a week ago to a different TIFF title, ensemble comedy ''The Oranges.
