Roeg to get Dilys Powell Award

LONDON -- Filmmaker Nicolas Roeg is going to be granted the Dilys Powell Award for Excellence in Film in the London Critics' Circle Film Honours, which unspools Jan. 19. Roeg, whose credits include "Performance," "Don't Look Now," "The Ghouls" and "Walkabout," will join the kind of Richard Attenborough, Judi Dench, Julie Walters and Quentin Tarantino, who've be because of the award in the past years. The helmer has labored having a raft of talent throughout his career, including Mick Jagger, Anjelica Huston, Oliver Reed, David Bowie and Julie Christie. Leaving comments around the award, Roeg stated: "I am sure the experts will understand when I only say: On searching through and reading through a number of my old reviews, I am torn between saying thanks to you and also forgiving you. But getting rested onto it, I'll opt for the positive and thanks...Inch Nominations for that other honours is going to be introduced on 12 ,. 20.
